Dr. Joanna Widdows
Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
Dr. Joanna Widdows was born and raised in West Palm Beach during a time that it was still considered a small town. She attended undergraduate school at the University of Michigan and Medical School at Nova Southeastern University in Miami. Dr. Widdows completed her residency program at Jackson Memorial and Mount Sinai Hospital in Miami. She currently lives in Delray Beach and loves everything the village by the sea has to offer. Dr. Widdow’s founded Associates of Internal Medicine in 2004.
Amber Pruss
Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Amber is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University and went on to complete her Master of Science in Nursing at Nova Southeastern University. A lifelong resident of Palm Beach County, Florida, Amber is proud to serve the community she calls home. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family—especially visiting Disney World together.
Donna Adams, PA-C
Certified Physician Assistant
Donna Adams, PA-C, is a certified Physician Assistant with a strong foundation in science and patient care. Born in the Philippines and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, Donna brings a unique blend of cultural insight and Midwestern warmth to her practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Notre Dame, where she developed a deep appreciation for both the sciences and the Fighting Irish spirit. Driven by a passion for healthcare, she went on to complete her Master of Medical Science at Nova Southeastern University, becoming a certified Physician Assistant. Donna is known for her compassionate approach and dedication to helping patients feel seen, heard, and supported. Outside of the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the outdoors, attending musicals, traveling, and cheering on Notre Dame Football.
Alix
Administrator
Alix was born in South Bend, Indiana. As a child and young adult she achieved awards in every sport she was allowed to play. Her bachelor degree from Penn State is in Kinesiology. She has always loved the study of anatomy and medicine. Before joining Associates of Internal Medicine she spent over 25 years in the pharmaceutical corporate world with continuous success as a Hospital Account Manager. She now brings all her skills and knowledge as the Administrator of Associates of Internal Medicine.
